  1. Booker T and the MGs were a great force in American music, embodying the Memphis Stax sounds along with Issac Hayes. This is one of their better efforts, and a sort of lost album. As the Sixties progresses, anger rose along with peace and love/5(19).

  5. Many people say that Hip Hug-Her is the best album ever released by Booker T. & the MGs. While that's up for debate, this certainly is one of the legendary quartet's greatest achievements. Donald "Duck" Dunn replaced original bassist Lewie Steinberg, and this was the second album with Dunn as a permanent member/5(9).

  7. This is it the first Booker T. and the MGS album. They were the band behind all of that great music to come out of Memphis soul playing behind Otis and Sam and Dave. What a great group and what a great album. Green Onions that hugh hit is here along with some many other tasty treats. I love this group and the sound of that Hammond B/5().
